Tommy Rosen – Founder and President
Tommy Rosen is the Founder of Eco Gift Expo, the first large scale holiday gift show for eco-conscious people. Tommy is a marketing and strategic partnership expert with extensive experience as a film and live event producer. The Expo, which takes place in Santa Monica in 2007, will expand to 10 markets by 2009. Tommy launched Eco Gift Expo to address the inconveniences, difficult emotions and incredible waste associated with the holidays and holiday shopping. In 2005, Tommy co-produced the California Tomorrow Festival as part of The United Nations’ World Environment Day in San Francisco. The festival featured 50 renewable energy companies on display in San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza and was attended by tens of thousands of people. This experience was pivotal in Tommy’s decision to commit to helping people make positive, healthful and sustainable lifestyle decisions. Tommy will continue to grow Eco Gift Expo and EcoGift.com to create new avenues for eco-conscious businesses to succeed.
Kia Miller - Co-Founder
Kia Miller is a devoted Producer, Documentary Filmmaker and Yoga Teacher who provides production and logistical support to Eco Gift Expo at every level of its functioning. Kia’s production and directing career started with her first documentary “Sacred Fire”. The film concerned the global anti-nuclear movement and premiered at the 1997 United Nations Disarmament Conference. She came to the United States shortly thereafter and produced her second film, “Tituyan Oyate,” documenting current Native American land rights issues. Her third documentary entitled “United As One We Dance” covered a worldwide dance party for peace known as Earthdance that takes place simultaneously in over 100 cities each year. Kia teaches Yoga at Yoga Works in Santa Monica and to the Eco Gift Expo staff in their free time.
Malia Hilliard – Vice President of Vendor Relations
Malia Hilliard is the Vice President of Vendor Relations for the Eco Gift Expo. Malia began her journey into the “green” world by way of the health and wellness industry. Having grown up in Hawaii, Malia developed a clear understanding of the challenges related to scarcity of resources and the immediate consequences of pollution. While helping people heal themselves through yoga and massage therapy, she realized that the physical problems her clients were having could often be traced to global dis-eases. This fueled her passion to help people change the way they manage the environment and their health. Malia’s desire to support companies using best practices inspired her to switch from the sale of suppliments to the world of green products. As the top Marketing Executive for Original Quinton, a powerful, ocean harvested mineral supplement, Malia used her passion and commitment to increase sales from $2,000 to $40,000 in just 3 months.
Now as the head of sales at Eco Gift, she continues to inspire people and to spark enthusiasm about our events. “The Eco Gift Expo will help people understand that buying green is not a sacrifice, that holiday shopping doesn’t have to be full of stress and waste, and that every dollar spent is a vote cast one way or the other.”
